Construction chemicals are special production products that provide water and thermal insulation of buildings, allow materials to adhere strongly to each other (adherence), increase the durability of concrete or repair damaged surfaces.
The type of the application area (indoor, outdoor, wet volume) and the floor (concrete, ceramic, wood, etc.) is the basis of the right choice. When selecting products, the usage instructions and technical data sheets (TDS) provided on the manufacturer's labels should always be taken as a reference.
Today, many building chemicals produced in modern facilities are produced with environmentally friendly and sustainable formulas that minimize the release of volatile organic compounds (VOC).
Epoxy, polyurethane, polyurea and acrylic resins are the most common flooring chemicals. They are used in factories, car parks, hospitals, sports fields and terraces to provide dust prevention, waterproofing or abrasion resistance.
It varies by product type. In two-component chemical products such as epoxy, full curing at room temperature takes an average of 7 days. However, light pedestrian traffic can usually begin after 24–48 hours. Oil-based floor paints may take about one week to fully dry.
