Geobent Sodium Bentonite Clay Liner is used as a geosynthetic barrier due to its high impermeability properties. It protects structures and the environment by preventing the undesirable effects of artesian and wastewater. When the clay minerals within the Geobent Sodium Bentonite Clay Liner come into contact with liquid, their crystalline structure swells, trapping water molecules and preventing leakage. Thanks to this property, it is widely preferred and used in many application areas.

It is a waterproofing geocomposite formed by placing natural sodium bentonite granules between woven and nonwoven geotextiles and then bonding them together using a special needle-punching method. The high-strength nonwoven geotextile fibers extending from the woven geotextile surface penetrate the fresh concrete slurry, creating an excellent mechanical bond. This prevents movement between the integrated concrete surface and the material. The Geobent Sodium Bentonite granules are distributed homogeneously at every point between the woven geotextile, which acts as the carrier layer, and the nonwoven geotextile, which provides protection, ensuring equal hydraulic performance throughout the entire surface.
