Bituproof Y Plus

Advantages

• Applied as a single-layer loose-laid waterproofing system.

Surface Preparation

The blinding concrete (lean concrete) must be cast with sufficient thickness and strength, and its surface should be properly finished. The substrate must be free from loose aggregates and sharp protrusions. Before installation, the surface should be cleaned thoroughly by sweeping.

Application Method

After the blinding concrete has fully cured, the overlaps (joints) of Bituproof Y Plus 4.5 mm should be bonded by heating them with a torch. Longitudinal overlaps must be 10 cm, while transverse overlaps on the 1-meter-wide side must be at least 15 cm. To prevent longitudinal overlaps from aligning, the membrane should be installed with a 30 cm staggered offset.

Packaging

• Supplied in rolls measuring 1 m × 8 m.

Storage Conditions and Shelf Life

• Store bituminous membrane rolls upright in covered warehouses with a flat floor.
• Membrane rolls should not be stacked on top of each other.
• During handling, loading, and unloading, care must be taken to avoid severe impacts.
• If rolls must be stored outdoors for a prolonged period, they should be covered to protect them from direct sunlight.
• Store in the original, unopened, and undamaged packaging in a dry environment, protected from direct sunlight, at temperatures between +5°C and +25°C.
